It is often that patients are given a diagnosis, and their physician will suggest a change in their diet and/or lifestyle. These changes can be suggested in order to improve a variety of health issues, such as balancing blood sugar levels, achieving weight loss, lowering cholesterol, improving digestive issues, and minimizing pain associated with arthritis. With their full caseload and busy schedules, physicians rarely have time to follow up and consult regarding how to successfully incorporate these changes into everyday life. This is where a health and wellness coach can help to fill the gap. It is my job to do the following:

Help you identify health concerns and/or on going symptoms you are facing

  • Assist you in setting manageable and realistic goals
  • Help you develop a step-by-step plan on how to reach those goals
  • Offer moral support
  • Hold you accountable to the goals you set for yourself

My role is to help you implement proper nutrition to develop a healthy diet and lifestyle changes necessary to heal yourself and achieve wellness.

A wellness coach focuses on healing on multiple levels, including physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional. Wellness coaching can not only work on your health and fitness goals but also on your mental health ones too. My approach towards coaching is 100% client-focused. Because each of my clients faces different challenges and has different needs, health concerns, and areas of focus, I cater my approach to help you identify where you feel you need to make a change and help you apply those changes to your daily life.

Health Coaching has been shown to improve outcomes in patients with cardiovascular risk factors, such as diabetes and hypertension. Research has shown that clients were able to maintain most of the improved clinical outcomes even one year after they completed health coaching. Clients are more likely to make lasting, sustainable diet and lifestyle changes after working with a health coach.     Restrictions Apply: lab chemistry results proved must be no more than 6 months old and must be considered a reasonable amount. It is up to the discretion of the functional medicine provider to determine whether the lab markers provided are excessive or reasonable. The provider will reach out if it has been determined an excess amount of lab panels have bene submitted for review (Example of acceptable blood chemistry submission- CBC, CMP, lipid panel, thyroid panel, iron panel, vitamins B12, folate, vitamin D, magnesium, zinc, uric acid, methylmalonic acid, iodine, insulin, A1C, and homocysteine). Advanced functional nutrition panels and non-blood panels including stool, saliva, or hair analysis will not be accepted as part of this service.
